The engine compartment and the underbody engine cover of the 2015+ is so tightly put together that things don't just fall down and out like in older cars. They really cram a lot of things into the engine bay unlike older cars where you could literally stick your hand from the top all the way ... WebMar 24, 2024 · 555 Posts. #2 · Oct 2, 2024. Ah that sucks. That engine bay is so tightly packed that you probably can't even see them. You could get under the car and remove the shroud underneath the engine bay and see if they're on it, or if you can reach where they landed from underneath. Location: New York City. iTrader: ( 0) old 2001 toyota highlander, the dealer left a Dewalt cordless drill in the engine compartment on top of the headers. (V6, Horizontal opposed) the drill was almost melted through. The battery was to the metal. The drill still worked though. WebMar 18, 2024 · While working on something in the engine bay, the magnetic head bit of the screwdriver fell into this hole in the engine compartment and theres no way I can see me getting it out.
