With my 6.7/4.10 auto pulling my 35 foot fifth wheel I see on average 1800 RPM at 55-60 MPH Since the torque curve starts at 1500 RPM with the automatics this seems to me to be the perfect spot for towing, right in the middle of the torque curve!
